I wanted to say and extra thank you to the boys sweet nanny, Betty, also known as “Nana”. She is always doing crazy things to help us get the best portraits possible. She has the most patience of anyone I have ever seen. She jumps, sings, dances– you name it! We made her take a few pics this session. Happy Friday! xo

It is always a mix of emotions when I finish up with a wedding. I usually talk to the bride for the first time a year before the big day, then meet, shoot engagement sessions, chat about the wedding often, shoot a bridal session, chat more about the wedding, chat to the mom a lot about the wedding….. then share the most important day of their lives all up in their business with my big ol’ camera. Then I spend weeks reliving the day while editing their images. We really do become good friends… then they live happily ever after, and I miss them. Mrs. Koenig, mother of the bride, called me the day after the wedding to check on me… then a few weeks later because she missed our phone conversations about picking out pictures and just chatting about everything. That is so special to me. I already knew and adored this family, but now they are that much more important to me. Here are some images from the start of their great day and HUGE wedding. xo

It is getting humorous how behind I am on blogging, but oh well. I still want to share projects I have been working on– even it some were a while back. Rachel is a beautiful and sweet senior girl in San Antonio– watch out world- it is almost graduation!

It it torture sometimes to have to wait and blog bridal portraits until after the wedding so the groom doesn’t get a sneak peek. I love bridal sessions, and I love becoming friends with my brides even more. I get to know their moms and sisters- who become my assistants instantly, and work harder than me or the beautiful bride during the session with all of the fluffing and carrying things. Then, when we all meet up at the wedding- it is party time! Renee wins the prize for being the easiest person to work with this year– she had the coldest day of the year for engagement session and raining for her bridal. Her beauty shined through it all- how cute is she?! While editing these pics I had: “girl look at that body, girl look at that body, I work out” stuck in my head.  Who doesn’t want her body?! She is a trainer so it is part of her job  Now I am off to work on their wedding pictures–  what a beautiful day it was! xo

How adorable is this young woman? Awesome personality and obviously beautiful. She was incredibly natural in front of the camera and read my mind when it came to poses and expressions. I am totally awkward and give horrible direction most of the time, but she just got it! Larissa’s family me me out of town for this shoot, and I am so glad they did. It is fun to explore new locations. Her little brother, Brandon, even hopped in a few pics. xo

I can’t believe I still haven’t blogged a few pics from sweet baby Clara’s session. This family was soooo nice and lovely to work with. Clara’s family is heading to Cambodia to live and spread the word of God, and her sweet grandmother wanted some portraits before they left. Praying that their experience is amazing. I know they will touch many lives. xo

Taylor is an adorable senior in Port Aransas I got to photograph a while back. This was a quick quick session because she had to be on stage for a singing gig in the town’s community center. She has an AMAZING voice… just as beautiful as her sweet personality. xoxo
